Mission Statement

The NoMI Flag Football League was created to bring a fresh, exciting football experience to Northern Michigan. Our league is designed for players ages 4–17 who want to learn the game, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive, community-driven environment.

 

We believe in developing young athletes the right way—through skill-building, teamwork, and positive coaching that puts player growth first. Whether someone is brand new to the sport or already passionate about football, our goal is to provide a safe place to compete, improve, and make lasting memories.

We aim to expand access to the sport, introduce players to the fundamentals of football in a safe and enjoyable way, and build a league that local athletes are proud to be part of year after year.

NoMI Flag Football League is proud to be the official NFL FLAG partner of Northern Michigan. This partnership connects our players to the nation’s largest and most recognized youth flag football program, backed by the NFL’s commitment to safety, fun, and player development.

Through NFL FLAG, every athlete receives high-quality gear, age-appropriate rules, and access to a proven framework that teaches football fundamentals in a safe, inclusive, and exciting way. Our partnership ensures that Northern Michigan’s young athletes get a top-tier experience—right here at home.
